Plaaslik is a modular raised garden bed designed to make growing vegetables, herbs and flowers easier, more attractive and more accessible.

The Plaaslik Raised Bed is 730 mm wide and 840 mm high, with three adjustable assembly lengths: 1.7 m, 2.0 m and 2.3 m. All three lengths are available for the same retail price of R2,900.

Plaaslik is available in 15 finishes - 14 powder-coated colours plus plain galvanized steel. You can explore all available finishes in the configurator, and you can absolutely add multiple Plaaslik Raised Beds in different colours to the same cart.

Plaaslik Raised Beds are manufactured from corrugated steel and are available in a range of durable powder-coated finishes, as well as plain galvanized steel.

Yes. Plaaslik Raised Beds are proudly manufactured in South Africa.

You can grow a wide variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers. Use the interactive configurator to explore different planting options and visualise your raised bed.

We recommend filling your raised bed in three layers: woody garden material at the bottom, organic garden material in the middle, and compost or growing soil at the top.

Bottom layer: Use untreated branches, thick twigs, small logs and woody garden cuttings. Avoid painted, treated or chemically preserved timber.
Middle layer: Leaves, grass clippings, garden waste and other suitable organic material.
Top layer: Compost, potting soil or another suitable growing medium.

You don't need to fill the entire bed with purchased soil. The fill calculator will estimate the total volume and recommended quantities for each layer based on your selected bed length.

Select your preferred raised bed length and the calculator will estimate the total fill volume and recommended quantities of woody material, organic garden material and compost or growing soil.

Using woody and organic garden material in the lower layers can significantly reduce the amount of purchased soil or growing medium you need, helping to lower your setup costs.

Leave approximately 100 mm below the top edge for watering and adding mulch.

Your raised bed is delivered semi-assembled, making final assembly simple and suitable for DIY installation. The Plaaslik Raised Bed is designed for straightforward DIY assembly.

If you need to make changes to your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has entered processing or been dispatched, changes may no longer be possible.

The steel construction requires minimal maintenance. Keeping the raised bed clean and checking it periodically for damage will help maintain its appearance and performance.

Due to its size, weight and filled condition, we recommend choosing its final position before filling the raised bed.

Warranty information will be provided with your product and is subject to the applicable warranty terms.

Yes, additional accessories are planned for the Plaaslik system. These will be introduced as they become available.

Future Plaaslik accessories are being designed specifically to complement the raised bed system, including a shade/insect mesh kit, bird protection, trellis, drip irrigation, and a clear greenhouse cover for cooler climates.
